Agile Mind’s 2025-2026 Math Program Enhancements for Middle and High School

Hello, fellow educators!

As we prepare to end one year and regroup and refresh for the year ahead, we just released to our teacher and leader partners the news of the math program enhancements to our middle- and high-school mathematics programs for the 2025-2026 school year. Each year, since our founding 25 years ago, we have brought these curriculum updates to those we serve. Each year, we are thrilled to get the response: “How do you keep making things better before we think to ask?”

The answer is always the same: these math program enhancements are a direct result of feedback from amazing teachers and instructional leaders, who help us set the pace with the ever-changing landscape of math education. They are the result of careful listening by our authors at the Charles A. Dana Center, by reviewers throughout our country, and by the dedicated work of our development teams, who are passionate about continuous program upgrades to support your teaching and help students thrive in mathematics.

Together, even in these challenging times for math achievement, we can equip adolescent learners to succeed in the mathematics of today and prepare for tomorrow. Let’s dive into a small peek at these new math program features!

State-Specific Math Program Enhancements

While many enhancements benefit all users, we also have new state-specific math programs designed to meet specific needs:

California Re-Up:

Although we have long been an approved provider in mathematics, we have developed new core math programs that support new state expectations and meet the requirements for the 2025 K-8 math adoption. These include planning documents, criteria maps, and support for California’s Math Framework. California offerings include Mathematics 6, 7, 8, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Integrated Math 1, 2, 3, Intensified Algebra I, and Intensified Integrated Math I.

We’re Going to High School in Virginia!:

New core math programs for Virginia High School (Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II), built for the updated Virginia math standards, have been approved by the Virginia State Department of Education.

Texas Bragging Rights:

Agile Mind’s 2025-26 Texas middle- and high-school core math programs are approved by the TX State Board of Education through the IMRA 2024 process. We are the only provider whose programs were unanimously approved for 6 sequential grades, through Algebra II.

Helping Texas with Advanced Middle School Math:

Supporting advanced math pathways in Texas, we’ve created new Texas Advanced Middle School Mathematics for grades 6 and 7. These courses consolidate and integrate content from approved courses and are now being enacted in schools across the state. We are already hearing interest from educators in other states, and we’ll keep you posted about our plans.

Math Program Enhancements for All

New Data Science Focus:

Exciting new data science topics now appear in our Algebra II and Integrated Math III curricula to support the growing focus on data science pathways in high school math.

Bringing Real Data to Algebra I:

We’re partnering with Skew the Script to integrate new data-rich explorations into our Algebra I programs. These explorations use data relevant to students’ lives and further support their data science literacy. Optional topics with these lessons will be available in the Appendix of the Algebra I courses.

Expanded Spanish Language Support:

We are continuing to enhance our support for English learners. Spanish versions of Student Activity Sheets are available for many of our programs, including Mathematics 6, 7, 8, Algebra I, Intensified Algebra I, Integrated Integrated Math I, and Integrated Math I and II. Additionally, browser-based translation tools provide a rich online experience in most languages.

Support for Families:

To help support students outside the classroom, our programs now include a Support for Families page with videos and resources. These resources are designed to help families monitor progress, encourage students to stay on track, and ultimately thrive in mathematics.

Accessibility Expanded:

Key enhancements support students with challenges related to sight or movement, including greater keyboard functionality for online items, graphs, tables, and detailed descriptions of animations and images. Student Activity Books for our Core Math programs are available on the NIMAC national repository for Braille, read-aloud, and large print versions.

Embedded Desmos Calculators:

Do you love Desmos? We love Desmos. The four-function, scientific, and graphing Desmos calculators are now embedded directly within Agile Mind.

Educator Timer:

A customizable timer is now also available, allowing educators to easily time activities or quizzes. Who knew, until you told us?

These math program enhancements would not be possible without the thoughtful feedback of Agile Mind teachers and leaders throughout the year. We are happy to continue our journey with you, and we thank our educator partners for their continued support of Agile Mind’s programs.
