AYD develops students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Through participation in the program, and guided by the research-centered curriculum, students apply their new beliefs and strategies to many problem-solving situations. They develop critical-thinking skills and learn how to persist in challenging tasks, particularly when they struggle.
To foster effective teamwork, students learn communication strategies and they apply them to cooperative tasks that range from simple to complex.
